This is a song that I wrote in August 2022 in loving memory of my beautiful mother, Caterina, who passed away peacefully on March 12, 2022.

I drift back in time to feel your life, there I see you smile.
I can hear us singing together again, mama where have you gone?
I asked her once ma are you afraid? She said no I am not, she said many so young they pass every day why should I be afraid.
My mother has moved on away from here, memories are all I have left. I miss her voice I miss her face, mama where have you gone?
I think back to when we were younger, she always did her very best.
With each passing day I remember a little more my mama so pretty and brave.
It’s hard to believe that we’ll never talk again, it’s hard but I still feel she’s here, we said a final goodbye on St. Patty’s Day, mama oh where have you gone?
Mama where have you gone? Tell me are you alone? I know you won’t be coming back home, mama, I miss you.
